Right, so this all started with the discovery of the awesome game "Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures Game" made by Fantasy Flight Games.
In a nut shell, it's a game played with cool little models, a bit more complicated than your average board game (Monopoly / Cluedo etc.) but not as book intensive as something like Warhammer, where you need a library just to keep the rules! And it's Star Wars. Which obviously makes it really cool!
It's a game you can pick up and play in an afternoon, or spend hours working out tactics for and working on formations and memorising special skills. There is no set board, so every game can be different, and you can play just straight fight to the death dog fights or specific missions. So far so good...you get to play as either Rebels or Imperials, and it's all pretty original trilogy stuff...
One word of warning, it can get very expensive... the basic set comes with the dice, and movement sticks, and a couple of tie fighters and an X-wing all you need for a couple of basic games. You then add single ships to build up your options, and fleet, and to have bigger games, and bigger games, and more choice, and more ships!... and pretty soon your bank account is empty, the kids are going hungry and you're getting stern looks from the wife across the tea table...
Did I say it's Star Wars? and really cool?
So more ships are released in waves, so you can buy more ships, like your basic Tie fighters and X-wings from the core set, plus other film faves like the Y-wings, Tie Interceptors, A-Wings, Tie Advanced (that's Darth Vaders Ship to me and you!), B-wings, Tie Bombers, Tie Bombers and more Tie Bombers... You will very soon pick up on my penchant for Imperials...
As well as all these smaller ships, others soon appeared...big ships... more expensive ships...:) The Millennium Falcon, Slave 1, The Imperial Shuttle...Followed by Bigger Ships...The Rebel Transporter, The Blockade Runner...
Yeah expensive...but cool!

What it's all about
This blog is to keep track of the X-wing miniatures games (and maybe others) played by me and my buddies!
Mainly these will be myself, Adam Tiller, Ben Oakes and Mike Hindle - all though not exclusive us four!
The posts will be keeping track of games, and sticking up stuff of interest for us - although any one can read them if they are so inclined or that bored ;) ...
